WULONG KARST & NATURESCAPE
Designed by Jay
Most visitors to Chongqing never make it here. Wulong sits three hours south of the city — a world of limestone bridges the size of cathedrals, canyons that split the earth open, and mountain meadows where the air actually feels different. This is Chongqing’s quieter, wilder side: UNESCO-listed karst landscapes, ancient post roads, and scenery that no city tour can replicate.
Starting at 7:00 AM in a private car, you’ll travel in comfort with a guide who knows every viewpoint, shortcut, and story along the way. The Three Natural Bridges are the anchor — the rest of the day is yours to shape.

————— ITINERARY —————
Part 1 — Three Natural Bridges (天生三桥)
A UNESCO World Heritage Site and the largest natural bridge cluster on Earth. Three giant limestone bridges — Tianlong, Qinglong, Heilong — arch across deep karst valleys and sinkholes. Walk among towering cliffs, visit the ancient post station featured in the film Curse of the Golden Flower, and experience the scale and wonder that nature carved over millions of years. The signature highlight of any Wulong day tour.

Part 2 — Choose Your Second Destination
Pick one of the following spots to round out your day:
1. Longshuixia Fissure 龙水峡地缝 +
Known as the most beautiful crack on Earth, this narrow, deep karst canyon features sheer cliffs, hanging waterfalls, clear streams, and lush greenery. A suspended wooden path takes you through a "line of sky" and into a quiet, primeval world. Cool, refreshing, and visually stunning — perfect for nature lovers and photographers.

2. Fairy Mountain National Forest Park 仙女山国家森林公圆 +
Called the No.1 Grassland in the South, it offers wide alpine meadows, dense forests, and rolling mountain views. Enjoy fresh air, wide-open spaces, and gentle scenery. In summer it’s a perfect escape from the heat; in winter it becomes a lovely ski resort. Great for families and anyone wanting relaxed, peaceful nature time.

3. Furong Cave & Furong River Boat Ride (芙蓉江/芙蓉洞) +
Furong River: A clean, blue river winding through spectacular karst gorges. Take a relaxing cruise and enjoy fresh mountain views.
Furong Cave: A world-class karst cave, often called an underground art palace. It features rare and stunning stalactites, stalagmites, and stone formations shaped over 1.2 million years. A magical, otherworldly experience.

4. 816 Nuclear Project (816地下核工程) +
Constructed during the Cold War as a highly classified nuclear facility, the project was never completed and remained undisclosed to the public for decades. Today, visitors can step inside this massive underground network of tunnels and chambers, offering a rare glimpse into a mysterious chapter of history and the scale of its ambitious design.
